OBR Flash Dance, Peace Gardens, Sheffield City Centre from 12.30 to 13.30, with local dance groups and drummers.
Join us to dance “Break the Chain” at this time, to synchronise with other events around the UK and the world! Don’t miss the opening ceremony from Aim to Dance, with Salsa Beat, Bella Shimmy, TLC Projects and Son de America!
All welcome – women and children will dance in front and centre, and men who support us are welcome to dance in the outer circle

Where possible, please wear black with red /pink/ orange – and bring an umbrella of the same colours in case it rains!

Princes Trust Course – Get Started with Robots – for 16 to 25 year olds

Iam delighted to inform you that we will soon be running a FREEGet Started withROBOTSwithROAMING ROBOTS!

Get Started with Robots runs for 1 week with 3 months follow on support and aims to:

* Increase participants confidence and motivation

* Re-engage young people with learning and offer the opportunity to gain experience in building robots as well as instructions on battling with them.

* Learn about the technology and engineering behind these amazing machines.

* Experience the power and strength of the heavy weight robots made famous through the TV programme.

* No equipment needed

* Assist participants to progress through 3 months post-programme support

* Offer opportunities for sustained engagement in positive activities after the programme

Eligible young people for the Get Started with Robots:Young People aged 16-25 and not in education, training or employment,who are facing the most barriers: low levels of literacy or numeracy, care-leavers, offenders and young people with few or no qualifications.

Travel expenses and lunch are provided.

After the programme, the young people will receive up to 3 months support to help them get to where they want to be, either through further training, education or employment.

If you are referring a young person with any current or previous offences, it is mandatory that the referral form attached is filled in (ideally by their Probation Worker or Offending Manager) and returned to us no later than Wednesday 15th March 2015, unfortunately if we do not have a completed referral form we are not able to offer a place on the Taster Day.
