Have Your Say on The Future of Supertram

Have Your Say on the Future of Supertram

I am writing to advise you that we have just under two weeks left in the Sheffield City Region (SCR) Have Your Say on The Future of Supertram consultation. The consultation closes on Sunday 30 October so please take this opportunity to have your views heard.

The Consultation

The consultation is asking residents, groups and businesses across Sheffield City Region what they think about the Supertram now, what they would change or improve, and how it could fit with other transport.

Consultation feedback will help transport leaders draft an investment strategy that will seek Government funding to prepare Supertram for the future, and allow services to operate for another 30 years.

How people can take part

The easiest way to take part and have your say on the future of Supertram is online whereby you can complete a short consultation. Alternatively, you can collect a form from an Interchange Customer Service desk. There is a separate consultation form for community groups/organisations.

If you require any further information about this consultation, or would like extra paper copies of the form, then please do not hesitate to contact me by emailing communications or by calling 0114 221 1452.

“Mindfulness Sessions” the new stress busting and relaxation programme

CONCORD SPORTS CENTRE on MONDAYS 12.15-1.15 at £3.75

The practice of Mindfulness goes back thousands of years and has its roots in East Asia and Buddhism. It has become increasingly popular and people from many different backgrounds are finding it helpful.

So what is it exactly? It is as simple as: ‘Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally.’ Jon Kabat-Zinn – founder of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

So, mindfulness is about paying attention to thoughts, feelings, sensations, surroundings or any aspect of our experience in the present moment

. It’s about developing self-awareness

. It’s about noticing what’s happening in the present moment

. It’s about paying attention in a particular way

. It can be about noticing your judgements

. Or about watching what your mind is doing or saying right now!

. It’s knowing that you feel the way you feel and you think the way you think

. It’s a way of being.
