Kids give big thumbs up to Sheffield Council for replacing Melrose Road grit bin

Children and families were delighted to see the return of their grit bin on Melrose Road as the cold snap hit Sheffield on Saturday morning. Patrick Meleady charity manager at pitsmoor adventure playground said ” The grit bin is a vital resource for the local community and we gritted the gateway to the cemetery and the path up to the adventure playground to enable safe access, local people both young and old have commented at how pleased they are to see its return, so a big thumbs up to sheffield city council for responding to concerns.”
